Easter 2008

Like most holidays, everything seems to rush by in a whirlwind. So, in the last 18 hours we have colored eggs, taken baths, gone to bed, woke up, searched for Easter baskets, got ready for church, attended church, came home, opened the stuff that the Easter Bunny brought and played with it and ate some candy, lunch and more candy. It is time for a nap! Before the nap ~ here are the pictures... We first colored the eggs then took a bath. Once they were all clean and the eggs were dry, we decorated them with stickers.
In years past, the kids put out their Easter Baskets and the Easter Bunny comes and fills them with goodies and then hides some eggs. Well, this year the Easter Bunny decided not to hide any eggs, because they are going on an egg hunt at Karen's house. What the Easter Bunny did this year was hide their baskets and then gave them clues hidden in plastic eggs to find the next egg and eventually their baskets. The best part of it was Carter's reaction when he didn't see his basket in the morning. He said, "I can't find our baskets and all that is here is this egg." He seemed so worried that he may have been in trouble with the Easter Bunny. After the game he said, "This was sooo much better than last Easter! I love the Easter Bunny."
Carter reading his clue.
Spencer opening a clue.

Home from church in our Easter best.
Cora figuring out the mystery of the plastic egg.

Carter's new metal baseball bat. No swinging in the house unless you see an alien.

Spencer got a tee-ball set. He is really good at balancing the ball on his head. :)

You're family looks like one of those families whose picture is already in the frame you buy.

How was your Ward? Tell me all the new changes!

Everyone looks great in their Easter outfits. It looks like Cora's birthday party went well. We still need to drop off her gift.

Cute pictures. Love the Easter outfits for the kids. I didn't get pictures of the girls in their dresses so I might have to cheat and do it later this week and say it was Easter!!

Erika,

I went to my new ward today and I think it's pretty great. I miss you and Irene and a few others, but it was nice to have a smaller ward.

Who are the YW & YM & Primary President in your ward?
